Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has a decades-long history of offering military education to active and veteran U.S. service members. With instruction online and at campus locations in the U.S. and abroad in Europe and the Middle East, Embry-Riddle Worldwide provides high-quality education for military students on the move.
For the second year in a row, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide remains one of the top online educators for veterans, according to the latest rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.
Embry-Riddle Worldwide was tied at No. 4 for its online bachelor’s degree programs. The university’s online graduate business programs (MBA and non-MBA) were also ranked among the top 100 in the U.S.
“Embry-Riddle Worldwide is pleased to continue more than 40 years of service to American servicemen and women during and after their distinguished military careers,” said Embry-Riddle Worldwide Chancellor Brad Sims. “We look forward to providing quality higher education to even more military students later this year when we expand to bases in South Korea and Japan.”
This expansion, which begins in August, is commonly referred to as the PACOM Education contract and is slated to last for seven years – two base years with five “option” years. It allows Embry-Riddle Worldwide to provide undergraduate and graduate degree programs to Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force service members and civilians on U.S. military installations within the Pacific Command’s oversees locations (PACOM).
“It’s a privilege to teach our service members and civilians on U.S. military installations overseas,” said Bob Walton, executive director of campus operations for Embry-Riddle Worldwide. “This new award helps us expand our global reach by offering degree programs to the thousands of personnel assigned to this region. Embry-Riddle Worldwide is proud of its partnership with the Department of Defense and looks forward to continued opportunities to serve the troops at home and abroad.”
Embry-Riddle Worldwide has served the U.S. military in Europe since 1974 and the Middle East since 2008. In August 2015, Embry-Riddle Worldwide will open campuses at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa and Camp Humphreys in South Korea.
